In 2017 I am directing a feature music documentary with celebrated indie legends, 'The Wedding Present'.
Research begins
The documentary is scheduled for release early in 2018 following the 30th anniversary of the band's much-heralded debut album "George Best", which was released in the UK on October 12th 1987.
Having not been present the first time around, it is a project I am honoured and very excited to be involved with after falling in love with the record during the band's 20th anniversary tour of the album.
This documentary has been in my mind ever since and now seems the perfect time to tell the story of a record that is so very powerful and emotive for so many people.
I'll be dropping by with some updates from time to time but for now I leave you with those immortal words of legendary DJ John Peel and his thoughts on lead singer David Gedge:
